Data Protection Administrator Location: Uppal, Hyderabad Experience: 3-5 years 30 days joiners preferred. In this role, candidate is expected to administrate Data Protection infrastructure environments and storage. Also requires the ability to think at an End-to-End Design, Development and Implementation. Responsibilities · Backup Tools: Power Protect Data Manager (PPDM), Avamar, Data Domain, Networker. Port Worx, Data Protection Advisor (DPA) · Enterprise backup/recovery operations · Supporting backup/recovery of various platforms including Unix (Solaris/Linux), VMware, Hyper-V, SQL Server, Share Point, Windows, and Oracle Database using RMAN · Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving backup/recovery issues in a timely manner · Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining backup/recovery software and hardware so that it complies with specified security guidelines. · Developing and maintaining policy and procedure documentation · Responding to requests for information for internal system audits · Working experience on Oracle ZFS appliances and Port Worx PX backups · Shell scripting (Python) · Understanding of Linux Operating Systems · Working with an enterprise wide, large scale matrix environment · Ability to plan and prioritize work and meet project deadlines. · Must be self-motivated and work well with other groups. · Experience with EMC Storage Systems like Power Max , Xtrem IO, Pure, Isilon administration. · Experience with SAN switches Qualifications we seek in you · Bachelor’s degree in IS, Computer Science, MIS Management, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. · Proven communication skills when working with other technical towers to work out issues. · Must be well organized, thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment, leverage best practices, and most importantly, innovate through any problem with a can-do attitude. · Must understand various logging methods and security event terminology. · Strong leadership skills when troubleshooting across multiple vendor platforms and working out technical issues. · Proven communication skills when working with other technical towers to work out issues. Preferred Qualifications/ Skills · Very good written and presentation / verbal communication skills with experience of customer interfacing role. · In-depth requirement understanding skills with good analytical and problem-solving ability, interpersonal efficiency, and positive attitude. · Good ITIL knowledge · Flexible to work for 24x7 process. · Excellent Communication and interpersonal Skills · Ability to prepare Dashboards and Reports · Experience of working independently & as a team player · Should have a proactive work approach and ability to think out of the box.
