Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and passionate PGT English Teacher to join our esteemed faculty. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of English literature and language, excellent communication skills, and the ability to inspire students in grades 9 to 12 to develop a love for English. The teacher will deliver engaging, comprehensive lessons, assess students’ progress, and contribute to the holistic development of students.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Planning and Delivery
Design and deliver high-quality English lessons in alignment with the curriculum standards (CBSE)
Develop lesson plans that are engaging, inclusive, and cater to various learning abilities.
Integrate technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance learning experiences.
Assessment and Evaluation
Prepare and administer tests, quizzes, and assignments to assess students’ understanding and progress.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students, guiding them for improvement.
Maintain detailed records of student progress and communicate this with parents during meetings.
Classroom Management
Create a positive, safe, and conducive learning environment.
Manage student behavior and maintain discipline within the classroom.
Foster respect and inclusivity among students.
Student Development
Encourage critical thinking, discussion, and analysis of texts, nurturing a deeper understanding of literature and language.
Provide individual support to students as needed and identify students who may need additional resources or tutoring.
Support students’ preparation for exams, competitions, and other academic activities.
Professional Development and Collaboration
Participate actively in departmental meetings, teacher training, and school development programs.
Collaborate with colleagues in the English department for curriculum alignment and continuous improvement.
Stay updated with the latest educational trends, especially in the English language and literature.
Qualifications and Skills
Education : Master’s Degree in English with B. Ed (required).
Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of teaching experience at the senior secondary level (preferred).
