Job Description: Quality Engineering Lead Job Title: Quality Engineering Lead Location: Bangalore Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineering Lead with expertise in native mobile test automation . The ideal candidate will lead quality initiatives, mentor a team of engineers, and establish a robust testing framework for our payment products across i OS, Android, and Web/Mobile Web platforms. Roles and Responsibilities: As a Quality Engineering Lead , you will: 1. Strategic Leadership: ○ Lead and oversee quality assurance initiatives, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines. ○ Mentor and guide Quality Engineers, fostering technical growth and team collaboration. 2. Test Planning and Execution: ○ Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, including functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing. ○ Drive testing efforts to deliver high-quality payment products across mobile and web platforms. 3. Automation Leadership: ○ Architect and maintain a scalable automation framework using XCUITest (i OS) , Espresso (Android) , and Playwright (Web/Mobile Web) . ○ Automate repetitive tasks and improve test coverage, reliability, and efficiency. ○ Ensure the integration of automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. 4. Defect Management: ○ Identify, analyze, and document defects effectively and ensure timely resolution. ○ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain product quality and performance standards. 5. Team Collaboration: ○ Serve as the primary point of contact for quality discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders. ○ Facilitate test planning meetings and retrospectives to continuously improve processes. 6. Quality Advocacy: ○ Act as a quality advocate, promoting best practices and fostering a culture of excellence across teams. Tools & Skills Matrix: Should-Have Tools: ● Espresso (Android) ● XCUITest (i OS) ● Git ● Playwright Could-Have Tools: ● Java 8 Skills: ● Must-Have: ○ Adapting to requirements with short learning curve ○ Deep understanding of the software testing lifecycle and quality assurance methodologies. ○ Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in native mobile automation frameworks. ○ Proficient in mentoring and guiding team members to achieve technical excellence. ○ Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and facilitate testing requirements. ○ Ability to adapt quickly to new tools, technologies, and workflows.
