Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and manage Java-based applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming, experience with Java frameworks, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include analyzing user requirements, defining system functionality, and writing code in Java.


Responsibilities:

  • 5+ years of full lifecycle project experience as a Java Developer, including design, development, test and implementation.
  • Strong architecture, analysis, design, coding, and code review skills with Internet applications developed in Java, JavaScript, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Perform maintenance in a Unix and Windows environment.
  • Experience with GitHub, Continuous Integration, and continuous delivery mechanisms.
  • Experience in ESB technologies like Apache Service, OSGI based runtime container Apache Karaf and Web application servers like Apache Tomcat and Apache HTTPD
  • Demonstrable micro-service/SOA design and implementation experience;
  • Familiarity with infrastructure and platform as service concepts.
  • Experience with container based service delivery strategies, such as: Docker, Kubernetes;
  • Understanding of multi-threaded and concurrent programming techniques.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementation of enterprise level software design patterns and best practices.
  • Evaluate work to date; recommend future direction and improvements (platform, database design, user interface, system security, etc.).
  • Experience in profiling, identifying and optimizing existing code and code developed by other team members.
  • Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures.
  • Interface with support, development, QA, and infrastructure teams in the US and India.
  • Complies with all confidentially and non-disclosure policies and/ or agreements and ensures security of information at all times.


Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in developing enterprise software products using Java/J2EE, SOAP (JAX-WS and JAXB) / REST (JAX-RS) API, Web services, HTML5, Jscript, JSP, JQuery, AJAX, Spring Boot Framework, Spring Framework and Angular JS.
  • Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, (Oracle PL/SQL), and ORM technologies (iBatis, Hibernate).
  • XML, Xquery, XSL
  • Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTPD
  • Linux/Unix Windows Platform
  • Experience of working with Agile Methodology and tools
  • Experience in build and deployment automation (using any of the technologies like Hudson, Jenkins, Ant, Maven, Gradle, Groovy)
  • Experience in design, develop and deployment of applications on cloud environments such as AWS, Azure
  • Familiarity with open source technologies
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Experience with development “best practices”, including source control, automated builds, and unit testing.
