Center Description
The Centre for Integrative Biology and Systems mEdicine (IBSE) at IIT Madras is focused on integrating multi-dimensional data to understand complex biological systems and advance personalised medicine. The interdisciplinary group pioneers innovative approaches and algorithms to predict and manipulate biological interactions on a cellular level.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre for Integrative Biology and Systems Medicine (IBSE) at IIT Madras in Chennai and the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Biosustainability at DTU in Denmark. The Fellow will be responsible for conducting research on the project titled “A Comprehensive Molecular Characterization of Microbial Metabolism of C1/C2 Chemical Waste." This project aims to identify innovative and sustainable microbial solutions for utilising industrial organic waste to produce proteins and other materials.
Qualifications
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Systems Biology, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in integrating multi-dimensional multi-omics data and working with complex systems in biology.
- Strong expertise in systems metabolic engineering research, data analysis, and algorithm development.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and visualise data effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Collaborative skills for working in multidisciplinary teams.
- A publication record that demonstrates expertise in systems biology.
Benefits
