Introduction:

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Selenium and Cypress to join our growing team in Bangalore . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in test automation frameworks, particularly with Selenium for web application testing and Cypress for modern JavaScript applications. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products by designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test scripts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Automation Development : Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium and Cypress for web and API testing.
  • Test Execution & Maintenance : Execute automated tests for functional, regression, and performance testing, ensuring the tests run consistently across different browsers and environments.
  • Cross-Browser Testing : Utilize Selenium WebDriver to perform automated cross-browser testing across various browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) to ensure compatibility.
  • Framework Development : Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and libraries that are scalable, reusable, and modular.
  • CI/CD Integration : Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins , GitLab CI , or CircleCI , ensuring continuous testing and fast feedback loops.
  • Test Reporting & Analysis : Monitor test results, report defects, and collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve issues quickly.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to define test requirements, strategies, and ensure test coverage.
  • Test Optimization : Optimize existing automated tests for performance, speed, and reliability.
  • Documentation : Document test cases, automation processes, and strategies, providing clear and concise reports on test results and coverage.

Required Skills:

  • Experience with Selenium : 2+ years of hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver for functional and regression testing of web applications.
  • Experience with Cypress : 1+ years of experience with Cypress for modern front-end testing, particularly for JavaScript-based applications.
  • Programming Skills : Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java , JavaScript , TypeScript , or Python .
  • Test Automation Frameworks : Experience with frameworks such as TestNG , JUnit , Mocha , Chai , or Cypress' built-in framework.
  • Version Control : Strong knowledge of Git and experience working with repositories like GitHub , GitLab , or Bitbucket .
  • CI/CD Pipelines : Hands-on experience integrating test scripts into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins , GitLab CI , or CircleCI .
  • Bug Tracking Tools : Experience with defect management tools like JIRA for tracking and managing defects.
  • Cross-Browser Testing : Solid understanding and experience in ensuring compatibility across multiple browsers.
  • API Testing : Experience with testing RESTful APIs and integrating API tests within the automation process.
  • Agile Methodologies : Experience working in Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced iterations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Cloud-based Testing : Experience using cloud-based cross-browser testing platforms like Sauce Labs , BrowserStack , etc.
  • Performance Testing : Familiarity with performance testing and tools like JMeter or Gatling .
  • UI/UX Testing : Understanding of UI/UX principles and ensuring tests are aligned with product designs.
  • Version Control Best Practices : Advanced knowledge of Git branching, pull requests, and version control best practices.
  • Test Reporting Tools : Experience with test reporting and logging tools such as Allure , ExtentReports , or Cypress Dashboard .

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in QA automation, specifically with Selenium and Cypress .
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a collaborative environment.
