Amazon is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Tech to join our Alexa team. Alexa is the cloud-based voice assistant that powers Amazon's Echo devices, enabling customers to interact with technology through natural voice commands. Key job responsibilities
•Execute test cases prepared for testing software builds on 3P products and report bugs accurately.
•Perform Regression, Build Acceptance Testing, Bug Bashes/Adhoc Testing and repetitive testing exercises to qualify builds without compromising on quality.
•Ability to understand the test plan in detail and derive black box test cases for the features.
•Understand testing procedures and guidelines for new builds / releases.
•Use software tools for data capture and to report bugs on a daily basis, preferably on JIRA.
•Ability to install/configure software builds, run automation script, fluency in log retrieval through provided tools and command line prompt.
•Raising all failures/doubts related to the execution of test cases in the clarification portal and closing the same as per the SLA's.
•Excellent communication, strong organizational skills and very detailed-oriented.
•Comfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environment.
A day in the life
We provide testing support for devices that has in-built Alexa AI in it. QATs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking up tasks of test case execution from start to completion with minimal help. QATs would be responsible for understanding the product in detail, and updating the test management tool with test execution results.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate in Technology, Computer Applications, Computer Science.
- 1+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on user-facing applications and/or embedded systems.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and sprint planning.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You have knowledge of the various forms of testing methodologies (e.g., functional, unit, integration, system, performance, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to quickly identify and triage software defects.
- Passion for emerging technologies and a desire to help shape the future of voice-based user experiences.
- Flexibility to work across multiple shifts and all 7 days of a week.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior Experience in testing any consumer facing software product/device/website will be a plus.
- Basic knowledge/experience in using command line prompt.
- Experience in doing audit on existing testing procedures.
