Responsibilities:Leadership:Lead and manage a high-performing physical design team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovationMentor and coach junior engineers, empowering their professional development and technical growthDefine clear vision, set strategic direction, and motivate the team to achieve ambitious project goalsChampion best practices for physical design and continuously improve the team's efficiency and effectivenessTechnical Expertise:Define and implement the overall physical design strategy for assigned projects, considering performance, power, area, and manufacturability constraintsOversee all stages of physical design flow, including floorplanning, placement, clock tree synthesis (CTS), routing, and physical verificationEnsure adherence to advanced design rules and industry best practices for manufacturabilityStay at the forefront of physical design advancements by actively researching and adopting emerging tools and methodologiesCollaborate effectively with design, verification, and layout teams to ensure seamless integration throughout the design cycleProvide technical leadership and guidance on complex physical design challengesProject Management:Lead the development and execution of comprehensive physical design project plansManage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure timely completion within constraintsProactively identify and mitigate potential risks throughout the design flowCommunicate project status, challenges, and solutions effectively to stakeholders (engineering leadership, product management)
