We are looking for a Junior Rust Backend Developer t o join our engineering team and contribute to building scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems. This is an exciting opportunity to start your career with hands-on experience in Rust while working on impactful projects with global exposure. As a Junior Rust Backend Developer , you will work closely with engineers to design, implement, and maintain backend services in Rust. You will gain practical experience in backend systems, microservices, APIs, and cloud infrastructure while contributing to our digital product ecosystem. Develop and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Rust. Collaborate with frontend, design, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features. Implement and optimize database queries (SQL/NoSQL) for performance and scalability. Design and maintain caching layers to improve application performance. Debug, test, and optimize backend services for reliability. Learn and apply best practices in software architecture, security, and CI/CD. Stay updated with the Rust ecosystem and backend development trends. Familiarity with Rust programming language (through projects, internships, or academics). Understanding of backend concepts: Exposure to databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or NoSQL alternatives). Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. Bonus (Nice to Have) Experience with async Rust frameworks (e.g., Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) or cloud platforms. Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure). Experience with testing and debugging in Rust. Contributions to open-source or personal Rust projects.
