Job Overview:

As a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE 3) at Lucid Growth, you will spearhead the development of complex, scalable applications, leveraging your technical expertise to make strategic decisions on architecture and performance. You will lead a team through all phases of the software lifecycle, focusing on innovation, efficiency, and quality. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and a commitment to security and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technical Leadership and Innovation

 - Lead the design and development of high-performance applications using the MERN stack.

 - Make architectural decisions to improve scalability, maintainability, and performance.

 - Drive innovation by staying current with emerging technologies and implementing best practices.

 

2. Mentorship and Team Development

 - Mentor and support a team of developers, guiding them on technical skills, code quality, and development processes.

 - Conduct regular code reviews and enforce high standards for code quality and software design.

 

3. Project and Process Management

 - Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to define requirements and manage project timelines.

 - Break down complex projects into achievable tasks, delegate effectively, and ensure successful project delivery.

 - Spearhead process improvements, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and fostering Agile practices for maximum efficiency.

 

4. Quality Assurance and Compliance

 - Champion Test-Driven Development (TDD) and implement comprehensive testing strategies, including automated testing.

 - Ensure compliance with security and data protection standards across all aspects of the development lifecycle.

 

Required Qualifications:

1. Educational Background

 - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.

 

2. Experience

 - 10+ years in professional software development, with at least 3 years in a senior or technical leadership role.

 - Proven ability to deliver high-quality projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

 

3. Technical Expertise

 - Full-Stack Development: Deep expertise in MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js), including advanced database and API design, state management, and asynchronous programming.

 - Modern Front-End Development: Advanced proficiency in React with Hooks, Context API, and Redux, as well as knowledge of TypeScript and GraphQL for efficient data handling.

 - Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), serverless architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda), and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.

 - DevOps & CI/CD: Proficiency in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD), and experience in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

 - Testing and Quality Assurance: Expertise in automated testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, Cypress), and static code analysis tools (ESLint, SonarQube).

 - Security and Compliance: Skilled in OWASP principles, secure authentication (OAuth2, SAML), and compliance with industry standards like GDPR.

 

4. Soft Skills

 - Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a focus on mentorship and knowledge-sharing.

 - Excellent communication and collaboration skills for effective cross-functional teamwork.

 - Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Additional Technical Skills

 - Experience with TypeScript, GraphQL, WebAssembly, or microservices architecture.

 - Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog) for monitoring and troubleshooting.

 - Knowledge of Agile methodologies and hands-on experience with Scrum or Kanban.
