We are looking for a Design & Engineering Head (Male/ Female)Department Engineering & DesignTitle: Team Lead/ HeadField of Expertise : Vacuum Furnaces & EquipmentsExperience : Minimum 15 -20 years’ experience in the field of Vacuum equipments design; Furnace design and engineering, Calculations, Modelling is preferredHandled a team of 5-10 peopleApplication Industry Heat Treatment & Metallurgy (Aerospace, Automotive, Tools and Dies, etc.)Job Location Navi Mumbai, IndiaWork days 5-6 daysPrincipal Responsibilities:Advocates technical solutions and execution methods in response to sales offers (private and tenders) and by respecting customer’s specificationsInvolves in the sizing and costing of technical offers with the sales manager, and pre-approves themMonitor all the projects on a weekly basis and ensures the proper technical support is providedto the assembly/service support teams and the customersProvides engineering management and technical analysis of projects to include but not limited to: design, calculation, component specification, cost estimation and technical serviceBe an active participant as part of a multi-disciplinary team to make conceptual design and development for implementing innovative/upgraded solutionsInterface with co-workers and customers as part of the design, development, implementationactivities and delivery cycle associated with equipments buildProvide analytical problem-solving support to the assembly factory/assembly linesand challenges associated with equipment fabrication/assembly/quality/tests, and installation& commissioning and technical service activitiesCompiles the complete technical/design and administrative dossier/docs for all customer accountsReview engineering and design for future planning in line with Company’s strategy plansQualification & Technical Competencies:Bachelor/Master of Engineering degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Mechatronics/DesignDesign and analysis of mechanical/electrical structures/ low/high/ultra-high vacuum systemsHigh Pressure Vessel design/constructionHigh Temperature Hot Zone design/constructionHeating Elements/ Heat-Shield or Insulation design and constructionHeat Exchanger design/constructionHot-zone support structure/Hearth bar design/constructionKnowledge about Heat treatment, brazing, carburizing, hardening, annealing, melting, etc.Knowledge and application of various type of materials, surface and thermal treatmentsfor low/ high /ultra-high vacuumHands on aptitude with an understanding of standard design practices and manufacturing techniquesAdvanced skills in 2D & 3D CAD software - preferably AutoCAD and Inventor or Solid Works3D design for vacuum chambers and systemsKnowledge and application of numerical modelling in solid mechanicsThermal exchange calculation / Computational fluid dynamics (CFD)Finite Element Method (FEM) and Thermo-mechanical simulations analysisWorking knowledge of pneumatics, vacuum process systems, electrical components,and automationOther Skills and Competencies:Excellent communication skills both in written and verbal formA highly collaborative role where clarity in communications will largely determinethe effectiveness and efficiency with which cross-functional duties are executedCustomer-focused and result-oriented, creative and strategic thinkingAccountable for own actions and decisionsIdentifying, defining and assessing problems, taking pro-active action to address themDelivering high quality work on time and fulfilling expectationsHaving a structured and organised approach towards workBeing able to set priorities and plan tasks with results in mindIdeas and suggestions with conviction and in a logical/structured manner
