Business Analyst – Deposit Account Opening Solutions
Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Business Analyst to support the development of our deposit account opening software for businesses and consumers. In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, define workflows, and ensure the solution aligns with customer needs and regulatory requirements. This is a key position that bridges the gap between business needs and technical execution, ensuring the successful delivery of a scalable and user-centric deposit account opening solution.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
· Work with customers (banks and financial institutions) and internal teams to gather, document, and analyze business requirements for the deposit account opening software.
· Identify gaps and opportunities in current processes and define solutions to meet customer and regulatory expectations.
· Develop detailed use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria for the product.
Process Design and Documentation:
· Design workflows for both business and consumer deposit account opening processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
· Document business and technical requirements, including integrations with third-party systems like KYC/AML providers, fraud detection tools, and core banking platforms.
· Create and maintain functional specifications and wireframes/mockups to communicate design intent.
Collaboration and Communication:
· Collaborate with Product Managers, UX designers, and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
· Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the technical development team.
· Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.
Testing and Validation:
· Assist in developing and executing test plans to validate that the product meets the defined requirements.
· Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and collect feedback to refine the solution.
· Ensure product functionality aligns with customer expectations and compliance standards.
Industry Knowledge and Compliance:
· Stay up to date with banking industry trends, deposit account regulations, and compliance requirements (e.g., KYC, AML, CFPB guidelines).
· Ensure the product adheres to all regulatory and compliance standards in the deposit account opening process.
Qualifications:
Required:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
· 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the banking, financial services, or fintech domain.
· Strong understanding of deposit account opening processes for businesses and consumers.
· Experience with regulatory and compliance requirements for account opening (e.g., KYC/AML processes).
· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
· Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred:
· Familiarity with core banking systems and integrations.
· Experience working on Saa S products or digital transformation projects in the financial sector.
· Knowledge of agile development processes and tools like Jira or Confluence.
· Understanding of APIs and third-party integrations for identity verification, fraud detection, and banking systems.
