The ideal candidate will beresponsible for analyzing large-scale operational datasets, uncovering insights, optimizing supplychain performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-backed productdecisions.Position Title: Data Scientist (Supply Chain & Product Management)Location: India (Remote)Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possibleJob Type: ContractJob Responsibilities:● Analyze supply chain, procurement, logistics, and inventory datasets to identify patterns,inefficiencies, and optimization opportunities.● Develop predictive and prescriptive models for forecasting demand, lead times, stock levels,and supply chain disruptions.● Collaborate closely with product management to translate business requirements into analyticalmodels and actionable insights.● Build dashboards, KPIs, and data visualizations to support operational and strategicdecision-making.● Partner with engineering, operations, and product teams to define data needs, validatehypotheses, and drive product improvements.● Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA), hypothesis testing, scenario modeling, and statisticalevaluations.● Present insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in clear business-friendlylanguage.● Contribute to product roadmap discussions with data-driven prioritization.● Ensure data quality, pipeline accuracy, and proper documentation of models and processes.Required Skills & Experience:● 5+ years of hands-on experience in data science, analytics, or applied machine learning.● Strong background in supply chain analytics, such as demand forecasting, network optimization, inventory modeling, logistics analysis, or procurement analytics.● Experience working with product teams or contributing to product strategy using data-driveninsights.● Proficiency in Python, R, or equivalent languages with strong knowledge of ML libraries(Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, etc.).● Expertise in SQL and working with large datasets in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).● Experience building dashboards using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.● Strong statistical knowledge and experience with A/B testing, regression models, clustering,forecasting techniques, and time-series modeling.● Excellent communication skills with the ability to convert complex insights into business actions.● Ability to work independently and manage deliverables in a fast-paced environment.Nice-to-Have Skills:● Experience in supply chain software, ERP ecosystems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), or warehousemanagement systems.● Exposure to optimization libraries/tools (e.g., Pyomo, OR-Tools).● Familiarity with agile product development lifecycle.● Experience in consumer products, e-commerce, or manufacturing domains.Qualifications:● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field● 4+ years of hands-on development experience with PHP and Java● Proven experience building and deploying scalable web applicationsSoft Skills● Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking● Excellent communication and teamwork skills● Self-motivated and able to work in an agile, fast-paced environment● Attention to detail and a commitment to writing high-quality codeEngagement Details:Duration: 4–6 months (extendable based on performance and project needs)Type: Contract / ConsultantInterested floks reach directly on
