Responsibilities:
Provide well-researched legal opinions, in consultation with senior colleagues, and advise the Company management on legal issues such as contractual disputes, employment queries etc. across jurisdictions (US, Canada, India, Netherlands, Singapore)
Draft, review and negotiate agreements such as Non-Disclosure Agreements, Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work etc. in consultation with senior colleagues.
Provide support for M&A transactions by conducting due diligence exercises.
Work closely and collaborate with the delivery, sales, finance and HR teams etc. to ensure adequate protection of Quantiphi’s interests.
Support senior colleagues in execution of projects and strategic initiatives.
Advising on, and evaluating internal policies, and procedures in compliance with applicable laws.
Staying informed about developments in applicable laws.
Support the larger legal team by conducting sessions and preparing training materials for internal stakeholders.
Job Requirements:
0-2 years of experience working with commercial contracts, or with research into cross-border laws, preferably with technology / IT MNCs; or experience with a reputed law firm, with experience in handling clients, disputes, litigation, comprehension of regulatory landscapes for any particular field which exhibits ability to grasp legal & regulatory nuances.
Prior experience working in a global organisation with a cross- cultural environment will be an added advantage.
Law Degree from a reputed and recognized university.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficient in English language.
Clear understanding of basic legal concepts and willingness to learn / adapt new skills.
Collaborative approach, self-starter attitude, flexibility and high integrity with a demonstrated track record of building relationships across teams and time zones.
The ability to prioritize tasks, work in a fast- paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to do legal research and deep dive into matters, including familiarity with tools such as Prac Law, Manupatra, and Westlaw.
Prior knowledge of employment laws and regulations would be preferred.
