About Oberon: Oberon Initiatives Inc. is a premier provider of energy efficiency solutions headquartered in Massachusetts, USA, offering energy upgrade solutions across the US. Oberon is partnered with energy and utility companies across the northeast and northwest US to provide LED lighting upgrades and other energy solutions to large commercial and industrial customers. We work through energy efficiency rebate programs via the utilities and have already completed 4000+ projects over the past decade.
Position Overview: This position involves coordinating with clients, vendors, and utility companies to facilitate energy-saving measures and maximize available financial rebates and incentives. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. This position is based out of the Massachusetts, USA office.
Key Responsibilities:
Energy Efficiency Project Coordination:
- Coordinate and manage LED Lighting upgrade projects, including energy audits, retrofits, and upgrades.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and installation teams to ensure energy efficiency projects are implemented according to plan and specifications.
- Monitor project progress, including timelines, budgets, and milestones, ensuring all deliverables are met on time.
Rebate & Incentive Application Filing:
- Prepare, review, and submit rebate and incentive applications to utilities, government programs, and other third-party organizations.
- Ensure all applications meet the specific eligibility criteria and include the necessary documentation (e.g., energy savings calculations, project specifications).
- Track the status of applications and follow up with utility companies or agencies to ensure timely approval and processing of incentives.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of all rebate and incentive applications, approvals, and payments.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to energy efficiency programs and rebate filings.
- Organize and track documentation for all projects, ensuring timely submission and adherence to program deadlines.
- Prepare necessary reports for internal teams and clients, summarizing the status of rebate and incentive applications.
Client and Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as a liaison between clients, utility companies, and regulatory agencies to ensure a smooth rebate and incentive application process.
- Communicate rebate and incentive program updates and requirements to clients.
- Provide updates to clients on the progress of applications and approvals, managing expectations and addressing any issues that may arise.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest energy efficiency programs, rebates, and incentives available at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Recommend process improvements for application filing, project management, and overall program participation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of Energy Efficiency/Renewable Energy experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, & PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of spreadsheet-based analysis techniques.
- Effective oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
