Job Title: Trade Finance Analyst – ExportsDepartment:Export Operations / Business FinanceLocation:BengaluruRole PurposeTheTrade Finance Analystwill act as the analytical and financial bridge betweenexports, finance, and operations, ensuring commercial efficiency, documentation accuracy, and profitability across international trade flows.The role involves drivingmargin visibility, forex optimization, working capital efficiency, andprocess automationto strengthen Vegrow’s export operations and financial performance.Key Responsibilities (KRAs & Weightage)KRA Description WeightageTrade Finance OperationsCoordinate with banks and finance teams on LC (Letter of Credit), BG, and export documentation. Monitor payments, collections, and forex exposure. Ensure compliance with RBI, FEMA, and export documentation norms. (25%)Financial & Margin AnalysisPerform detailed margin and profitability analysis across geographies. Simulate pricing models (FOB, CIF, DDP) and assess forex impact. Recommend measures to improve realized margins.(20%)Working Capital ManagementTrack receivables, payables, credit limits, and export incentives (MEIS/RODTEP). Support cash flow forecasting and credit utilization planning.(15%)Data Analytics & ReportingBuild dashboards (Excel, Power BI, Tableau) to track shipments, finance KPIs, and TAT. Ensure accuracy of export MIS and financial trackers.(15%)Process Optimization & GovernanceIdentify inefficiencies in trade documentation, banking, and finance coordination processes. Propose automation or SOP improvements to enhance TAT and reduce manual errors.(10%)Cross-functional CoordinationLiaise with export, logistics, finance, and banking partners for transaction closure, audit readiness, and compliance adherence.(10%)Strategic ProjectsSupport finance leadership in trade-related analytics, hedging analysis, and BPR (Business Process Re-engineering).(5%)Skills & CompetenciesStrong understanding oftrade finance instruments– LC, BG, remittances, forex, and export documentation.Advanced Excel, Power Query, and Power BI/Tableau for financial dashboards.Quantitative & logical reasoningfor financial modeling and analytics.Familiarity withexport documentation platforms(ICEGATE, DGFT, Tridge, etc.) is a plus.Strong analytical storytelling – ability to translate numbers into business insights.Excellent stakeholder collaboration across finance, logistics, and operations.Detail-oriented with high numerical accuracy and process discipline.Educational Background & ExperienceDegree inCommerce, Finance, Economics, or Business Management(Finance/Operations).Preference for candidates fromIIFT, FMS, SRCC, IIMs, IITs, or top universities– not restricted to Tier 1.Experience:2–6 years intrade finance, export operations, or business analytics.Certifications (Preferred):Advanced Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SQL, or Trade Finance Certification (e.g., CDCS, CTFP).Core CompetenciesDeep understanding ofinternational trade finance workflows.Analytical and process mindset with strong business acumen.Structured problem-solving and quantitative analysis.High ownership, attention to detail, and stakeholder management.KPIs & Success MetricsAccuracy and timeliness of trade finance documentation and reports.Margin realization and forex gain/loss optimization.Reduction in documentation errors and TAT.Automation and process efficiency improvements.Compliance adherence and audit readiness.
