Job Overview:
We are looking for a Desk Assessor - Motor Claims to join our dynamic claims management team. In this role, you will be responsible for remotely assessing motor vehicle damage, verifying claims, and determining the validity and quantum of motor claims. You will collaborate with field assessors, insurance adjusters, and customers to ensure accurate and efficient claim processing. Your expertise will contribute to faster settlement of claims while ensuring compliance with internal guidelines and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Claims Assessment: Perform desk-based assessments of motor vehicle damage by reviewing photos, videos, and documentation submitted by customers and field inspectors.
Claim Verification: Analyze submitted evidence, validate repair estimates, and assess the extent of the damage in line with insurance policies.
Cost Evaluation: Collaborate with workshops, garages, and service centers to confirm the cost of repairs, replacement parts, and labor required.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of each claim in the system for audit and regulatory purposes.
Coordination: Liaise with field assessors, insurance agents, and repair shops to gather relevant information and expedite the claims process.
Customer Communication: Provide prompt and professional communication to customers regarding the status of their claims and any additional information required.
Policy Compliance: Ensure that all claims are processed in accordance with internal guidelines, insurance regulations, and industry best practices.
Continuous Improvement: Suggest process improvements and tools to enhance the efficiency of desk assessments and overall claim resolution.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in any field, with preference for candidates with experience in insurance, automotive, or related fields.
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in motor claims, insurance assessment, or vehicle inspection. Familiarity with claims management software is a plus.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle parts, repair processes, and claims settlement procedures in the automotive sector.
Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately assess damages and costs based on provided evidence.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with customers, repair shops, and internal teams.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to make fair and objective assessments of claims.
Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using digital platforms for claims processing, assessments, and reporting.
