Position Overview
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will lead Vara Technology's technology strategy, driving innovation and growth through cutting-edge blockchain, RFID and artificial intelligence solutions. This executive role requires strategic and hands-on leadership, focusing on leveraging technology to achieve business objectives, ensuring scalability, security, and competitive differentiation.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Technology Leadership
Develop and drive a comprehensive technology strategy that aligns with Vara Technology's mission, with focus on blockchain, AI, and emerging technologies.
Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate technology initiatives with business objectives, enhancing efficiency, customer engagement, and market reach.
Stay ahead of technology trends to shape business strategy and keep Vara Technology at the forefront of industry innovation.
2. Blockchain & AI Development
Lead the development and deployment of blockchain solutions, ensuring transparency, security, and operational efficiency for internal and client-facing systems.
Oversee AI and machine learning initiatives, integrating data-driven insights and automation to optimize processes and develop new solutions.
Evaluate and recommend blockchain and AI platforms, tools, and best practices for effective application across projects.
3. Technology Infrastructure & Security
Design and manage a robust, scalable, and secure technology infrastructure to support product growth, performance, and reliability.
Ensure data security and privacy by implementing best-in-class security protocols and compliance standards.
Implement and monitor rigorous DevOps and CI/CD processes to ensure rapid, high-quality deployment of solutions.
4. Team Leadership & Development
Build, mentor, and lead a high-performance technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
Identify skill gaps, provide training opportunities, and implement succession planning for key technology roles.
Promote cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as Product, Sales, and Customer Success, to align technical and business objectives.
5. Product & Innovation Management
Partner with Product teams to design and implement new features, products, and solutions that leverage blockchain and AI technologies.
Drive an innovation agenda, piloting advanced technology projects to solve business challenges and meet client needs.
Oversee the R&D roadmap, continuously exploring potential applications for blockchain, AI, and other transformative technologies.
6. Client Engagement & Business Development
Work closely with Sales and Business Development teams to provide technical expertise during client engagements, presentations, and project scoping.
Collaborate with clients to understand requirements and customize technology solutions, ensuring high satisfaction and added value.
Qualifications and Skills
Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. MBA or additional certification in Blockchain or AI preferred.
Experience : Minimum 15+ years of experience in technology roles, with at least 8 years in leadership positions; strong background in blockchain, AI, and enterprise technology solutions.
Technical Proficiency :
Proven expertise in blockchain technology (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger, smart contracts).
In-depth knowledge of AI and machine learning algorithms, frameworks, and applications.
Strong grasp of security standards, data privacy regulations, and DevOps practices.
Leadership Skills :
Demonstrated success in leading technology teams, with a focus on innovation, performance, and operational excellence.
Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Project Management : Familiarity with Agile methodologies, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
