At this AI startup, we are building agent-driven data platforms that rethink how teams interact with infrastructure, analysis, observability, data processing. Our goal is simple: make data systems smarter, more autonomous, and radically easier to work with. We are looking for a Principal Cloud Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our cloud infrastructure in Azure . As a key technical leader, you will set the direction for cloud architecture, scalability, and security, while also mentoring engineering teams and partnering with stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions .

Azure Architecture & Engineering
Design, build, and optimize scalable solutions on Microsoft Azure.
Provide deep technical guidance across Azure services (VMs, Networking, AKS, Storage, AAD, Key Vault, Functions, App Services, etc.).
Write reusable modules, enforce coding standards, and implement automated deployments (CI/CD).
Resolve complex issues across networking, compute, identity, storage, and platform services.
Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.
DevOps & Continuous Delivery
Implement and support CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent).
Ensure security, compliance, and reliability are embedded in delivery pipelines.
Mentor engineers and developers on cloud best practices.
Partner with stakeholders to design cloud-native solutions aligned with business needs.
Stay up-to-date with Azure updates, DevOps trends, and cloud-native innovations.
Contribute to knowledge sharing and internal technical communities.

5 + years Hands-on expertise in Azure cloud services, architecture, and operations.
~ Experience in debugging and resolving complex Azure service issues .
~ Proficiency in one or more scripting/programming languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash, etc.).
~ Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance.
~ Expertise with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD tools .
~ Must hold at least one Azure-related DevOps certification , such as:
Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: Multi-cloud experience (AWS, GCP) in addition to Azure.
Experience with Kubernetes (AKS) and containerization.
Strong background in observability, monitoring, and performance tuning.
Previous experience in a Principal/Lead Engineer or Architect-level role .
