Key Responsibilities:
Legal Drafting & Contract Management:
Draft, review, and standardize legal documents, including Commercial Leave & License Agreements, Lease Deeds, Operating Agreements, Fit-Out Agreements, and Common Area Maintenance Agreements.
Ensure 100% adherence to agreed turnaround times (TAT) for document vetting and amendments.
Review contracts related to Customers, Alliances, Marketing, Design & Build Agreements, and Procurement Agreements within stipulated timelines.
Ensure zero backlog in contract review and execution.
Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
Manage and coordinate contractual disputes, property litigations, and regulatory matters, ensuring proactive resolution.
Liaise with external legal counsel for litigation matters and represent the company in legal proceedings when required.
Maintain a robust legal strategy to mitigate risks and minimize litigation exposure.
Compliance & Regulatory Advisory:
Ensure 100% compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements across all business operations.
Conduct legal due diligence on prospective lease arrangements, including title investigations, Occupancy Certificate (OC)/Completion Certificate (CC) validation, Fire NOCs, and adherence to local legislation.
Provide accurate and well-researched legal opinions within agreed timelines.
Implement periodic audits to maintain documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate effectively with landlords, legal consultants, and internal teams to facilitate the smooth and timely finalization of agreements.
Ensure 95% of contract-related bottlenecks are resolved without escalation.
Provide legal training and awareness sessions for internal teams on compliance and contract management best practices.
Process Optimization & Documentation:
Maintain 100% documentation accuracy for all legal agreements, ensuring they are up to date and compliant with internal checklists.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance contract management efficiency by at least 10% annually.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized university.
5+ years of experience in legal drafting, vetting contracts, compliance, and litigation management.
Strong understanding of real estate laws, commercial contracts, and corporate regulations.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for legal documentation and reporting.
High standards of accuracy, attention to detail, and time management.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
