We are looking for Faculty for GITAM School of Architecture to teach courses on More sustainable design and development modules to go a long way in teaching the next generation how to design, plan and build responsibly.

Develop and design curriculum plans to foster student learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensures student engagement.

Faculty should provide tutoring and academic counselling to students, maintains classes related records, and assesses student coursework.

Collaborates and supports colleagues regarding research interests and co-curricular activities.

Additionally, Faculty typically reports to a department head.

Provides intellectual leadership and has made significant contributions to the field.

Faculty may offer independent study opportunities and mentoring to students.

Typically this individual is a leader in the field and has been published.

Evaluate and grade students' work, including work performed in design studios.

Prepare and deliver lectures to undergraduate or graduate students on topics such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, and specializations such as finance, public, labor, and international economics and other courses as assigned.

Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.

Guide class discussions.

Conduct research in a particular field of knowledge and publish findings in professional journals, books, or electronic media.

Research topics in area of expertise: Write articles, books or other original materials in area of expertise.

Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.

Evaluate effectiveness of educational programs.

Develop instructional objectives: Supervise undergraduate or graduate teaching, internship, and research work.

Supervise student research or internship work.

Effective communication skills.

Publication in peer-reviewed journals Commitment to active engagement with students Should be registered in Council of Architecture (COA) and Ph D from Accredited University.

Assistant Professor : First class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and First class M.

Arch. or equivalent.

One year experience.

(Relaxation in experience may be given to candidates having M.

Arch. degree (or equivalent) from University recognized by UGC or other competent authority) Associate Professor: First class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and M.

Arch. or equivalent Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and First class M.

Arch. or Equivalent First class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and Ph.

D.

in Architecture.

Eight years experience out of which - Minimum Three years Teaching experience as full time.

Faculty / Five years Teaching experience as Visiting Faculty or Ten years Practice experience.

(Relaxation up to three years in teaching experience may be given to candidates having M.

Arch. degree (or equivalent) and Ph.

D.

in Architecture from University recognized by UGC or other competent authority) Professor: First class Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture and M.

Thirteen years experience out of which - Minimum Five years Teaching experience as Associate Professor or Fifteen years Practice experience out of which - Five years Teaching experience as Visiting Faculty.

Arch. degree (or equivalent) and Ph.

D.

in Architecture from University recognised by UGC or other competent authority) People with an international education/professional background would be taken as additional advantage.
