Senior Scientific Manager

The position is Senior Manager - R&D Silicon Polymers. The position will be based out of Nashik R&D Centre. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in both synthesis and application of silicon-based materials and surfactants, along with a strong leadership mindset and proven experience in developing innovative coating and lubrication solutions. Lead R&D programs focused on Silicon Chemistry — including silicone emulsions, silicone oils, and surfactants . Drive innovation in protective coatings and surface coating formulations for industrial and specialty applications. Oversee the design, synthesis, characterization, and performance evaluation of silicon-based polymers and related systems. Manage multiple R&D projects , ensuring timely execution and alignment with business goals. Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and marketing teams for product scale-up and commercialization. Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and market developments in silicon and polymer chemistry. Prepare technical reports, documentation, and presentations for management and external stakeholders. Qualifications & Experience ~ D. in Polymer Chemistry, Surfactant Chemistry, or related discipline is mandatory. ~15–20 years of industry experience in R&D, preferably within lubricants, coatings, or specialty chemicals sectors. ~ Hands-on experience in developing formulations for protective and surface coatings . ~ Strong project management and leadership skills with ability to guide multidisciplinary teams. ~ Strategic and innovative thinker with a strong scientific foundation.
