Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fashion Designer at Kunal Rawal in Mumbai. The Fashion Designer will be responsible for creating innovative designs that reflect the brand's ethos, focusing on Indian couture and contemporary trends. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing unique design concepts and translating them into detailed sketches, illustrations, and storyboards using tools like Adobe Illustrator .
  • Collaborating on fabric selection , embellishment techniques , and garment construction to ensure designs are both aesthetically pleasing and technically sound.
  • Staying updated on current fashion trends to create distinctive, trendsetting collections.
  • Preparing graphics and visual presentations to effectively communicate design ideas to production and marketing teams.
  • Overseeing samples and ensuring final pieces meet design intent and quality standards.
  • Contributing to creative brainstorming sessions for upcoming collections and campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Fashion Design , Textile Design , or a related field.
  • Proficiency in design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with expertise in storyboarding and creating detailed technical drawings .
  • A strong passion for fashion and the ability to blend traditional techniques with contemporary design sensibilities.
  • Previous experience in Indian couture or luxury fashion is a plus.
