It's rare for us to work on weekends/holidays.We are seeking a Microsoft Windows Server Engineer to collaborate with the global team in supporting and managing Microsoft products and services hosted on AWS. The role is responsible for providing professional services to our clients, including upgrades, troubleshooting real-time issues, server migrations, and new client deployments. Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for a System Administrator (Windows, AWS, SQL). The System Administrator will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as managing and maintaining Windows servers, configuring and managing AWS resources, and administering SQL databases. Additional tasks include troubleshooting system issues, providing technical support & ensuring efficient network administration. Performance monitoring, security management and regular system updates will also be key responsibilities.Key ResponsibilitiesUndertake client-server migrations, upgrades and deploymentsMonitor, investigate, and respond to application alerts and notifications.Management and resolution of escalated support tickets within defined OLA and SLA requirements.Responsible for the creation and maintenance of team knowledge, processes, procedures, and operational documentation.Troubleshooting, management and resolution of scripted automation tasksIdentify areas for improvement and make recommendations, then participate in ongoing improvement initiatives.Proactively escalate and raise issues concerning our products with the relevant product teams.Adherence to company policies and procedures, including change management.Contribute to the achievement of SOC2 certifications for our software productsRequired Qualifications3+ years of industry experience as an application support specialist, or similar.Strong troubleshooting skillsWorking knowledge & skills in Windows Server, MS SQL Server, and IIS.Working knowledge of AWS servicesAbility to interpret and write scripts, preferably in Power Shell.Experience with AWS.Experience with Microsoft Azure – desirable.Experience with Octopus Deploy – desirable.
