Job Description:

The role is a Techno Commercial role with responsibilities including QS, billing, design review, material and vendor selection, reporting, value engineering, budgeting. Extensive experience in commercial interior fit-out projects required.

 Project Management and Execution

·       Responsible for delivering project on time, within budget & as per quality standards

·       Hands on leadership of subcontractors, designers & consultants to execute commercial fit-out projects

·       Standardize construction practices, quality checks & documentation standards;

·       Lead project review meetings; Highlight & resolve design, execution & all other co-ordination issues

·       Manage customer modifications within timely manner

·       Work closely with other departments & with Management to achieve company objectives

  Quantity Surveying, Billing & Budgeting

  ·       Preparing detailed BOQ and Rate analysis for each item of work

·       Preparation of master quantities for projects

·       Preparation of running bills, verification and reconciliation of site measurements against progress.

·       Prepare and track project budget, variation statement, cost to completion

·       Track estimated vs actual quantities of manpower, equipment & material used

·       Co-ordinate with finance for release of payments based on certification

  

Project Planning & Reporting

  ·       Establish baseline project budget & project plan in collaboration with Project Manager

·       Micro schedule and Monthly schedule preparation

·       Track delays and variation in schedule

·       Provide periodical reports on progress, cost, quality & budget

·       Issue of Work Orders

  Drawing & Design Review

 ·       Design coordination between architectural, structural, MEP plans

·       Reviewing drawings, coordinating with consultants and site execution team to identify and resolve design issues

·       Suggest value engineering opportunities

·       Responsible for finalizing client modification requests including drawings & estimates, and provide details to site team

 Vendor development & Procurement

  ·       Identify new Vendors / Contractors, float RFI and obtain quotations

·       Analyze and compare specifications, provide comparative statements to management

·       Assist project team in preparing material schedule

  Maintenance, Modifications & Operations

·       Manage ongoing changes to the interior fit-outs as required

·       Technical support to operations team to resolve any issues relating to interiors, MEP, modifications to any of the operational workspaces

·       Technical support to ensure all company assets, MEP equipment etc are maintained in top running condition


Desired Skill Sets:


  • Skilled civil engineer to support management and project site team in coordination, planning, technical and commercial matters. 7 to 10 years of relevant experience required
  • Experience with a PMC / Design Build company in project planning and execution
  • Will be involved in multiple projects of Cove and its sister concerns
  • Primary place of posting – Chennai. Will need to travel to Bangalore as required.
  • Extensive skills in tools such as MS Project, Excel, Autocad, etc is a must
