Key Responsibilities:
1. Elevate Infrastructure: Lead the enhancement of our current infrastructure, focusing on developing, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
2. Containerization Expertise: Drive the transition towards a containerized infrastructure, leveraging your expertise in Kubernetes, EKS, GKE, and other relevant technologies.
3. Engineering Excellence: Ensure the delivery of well-engineered solutions that are maintainable and adhere to set schedules, fostering a culture of innovation and efficiency
4. Collaborative Deployment: Work closely with business and engineering partners to deploy new infrastructure on private cloud platforms, contributing to the growth and success of the organisation.
5. System Health Monitoring: Oversee the availability, latency, and overall health of systems, managing on-call incidents and change management to maintain optimal functionality
6. Mentorship and Leadership: Demonstrate a commitment to team learning by providing mentorship and technical leadership, fostering an environment of continuous improvement
Requirements:
1. Containerization Experience: 2+ years deploying distributed apps with containers and orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS, GKE).
2. Configuration Management: 3+ years of development experience in configuration management (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Terraform).
3. Linux Expertise: 4+ years of Linux system engineering experience.
4. Security Focus: 2+ years of experience in developing infrastructure and application security for Highly Sensitive Customer Data & Environments (IAM, CI/CD, PKI).
5. CI/CD Proficiency: 2+ years of experience deploying with a CI orchestration service (Jenkins, Spinnaker).
6. Scripting/Programming Skills: 2+ years of working experience with scripting/programming languages (Shell, Python, Golang, Ruby)
7. Log Management: Experience with Log Management and Analytics tools such as Splunk/ ELK.
8. Bonus Points: Familiarity with Proxmox.
9. Continuous Learner: A passionate, continuous learner and critical thinker.
10. Team Player: A collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
