Job description
As a Network Design Specialist, you will have a vital role in developing the target state architecture, strategy, and delivery model that support JLR's global business operations. You will play a supporting role in developing, maintaining, and communicating the network services roadmap, reference architectures, policies, processes, and standards appropriate to the JLR business model. This will ensure that it remains relevant and appropriate as the Company continues to transform.
Your technical guidance will influence new Digital programmes and solutions to maximize adherence to patterns via project and programme governance. You will support the progress and delivery of the relevant projects to deliver the agreed roadmap, engaging with business and Digital stakeholders, building relationships to understand the business priorities and how your technical domain must change to enable transformation.
You will track the trends in the network domain and support building business cases for emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to exploit for Digital and business innovation. Working with all Digital product domains and Cloud hosting leads, you will build an overall technical landscape to transform JLR's Digital delivery and operating model.
As a Network Design Specialist, you will assess the requirements and recommendations that are in line with the strategic vision for the network services to Digital programmes. You will develop and maintain constructive relationships with suppliers and partners to allow effective and productive evaluation of vendor offerings against business requirements, constraints, and priorities. Additionally, you will perform solution options analysis and product selection with particular focus on Total Cost of Ownership, providing technical input for projects delivering or impacting on the network domain via the governance approval process forums.
