Job Opportunity: Senior Modeler/ Senior Checkers/ Senior Editors (AISC - CISC)

Location: Hebbal, Bangalore, Karnataka
Shift Timings: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM (Indian Standard Time)
Compensation: (CTC, based on experience and industry standards)
Experience: 5+ to 10 Years
Employment Type: Permanent (3-month probation period)
We are seeking highly skilled and experienced Senior Modelers / Senior Checkers / Senior Editors to join our team. The ideal candidates will play a pivotal role in interpreting contract drawings, creating templates, and developing detailed 3D models for structural and architectural projects. Your expertise will contribute to delivering precise and timely outputs, adhering to industry standards.
- Collaborate with Detailers, Checkers, and Project Managers to prepare and submit 3D models for commercial and industrial buildings.
- Operate detailing platforms such as Tekla and provide support as a technical analyst.
- Ensure compliance with design drawings, American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), American Welding Society (AWS), The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and National Institute of Steel Design (NISD) standards.
- Generate General Arrangement (GA) drawings, Shop drawings, Erection drawings, and related reports.
- Prepare Bill of Materials, Title Blocks, Templates, and other project-specific documentation as per client requirements.
- Suggest and finalize structural connections, subject to architect and structural engineer approval.
- Prepare and manage RFIs and incorporate updates in the models based on customer feedback.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings in adherence to company and client standards.
- Maintain an organized engineering filing system and support documentation control.
- Stay flexible to perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Technical Competencies
- Education: Bachelor’s/Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (relevant work experience with Tekla may substitute for formal education).
- Experience: 5-10 years of steel detailing experience using Tekla.
- Proficiency in TEKLA software and AISC standards .
- Strong knowledge of AISC codes, OSHA, AWS, and NISD standards.
- Expertise in reading and interpreting structural and architectural design drawings.
- Experience in steel detailing and modeling for structural steel projects.
- Knowledge of steel fabrication processes and industry standards.
- Ability to review, check, and edit steel models for accuracy and quality.
- Proficiency in steel manufacturing, erection, and shop fabrication processes.
- Competency in basic mathematics, including geometry and trigonometry.
- Familiarity with welding specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and Google Workspace.
- Advanced understanding of Tekla’s options and custom components.
