Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President, Record to Report This position offers an elevated level of visibility with Senior Client Finance Stakeholders and requires excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to different client situations/scenarios and provide quick solutions. Record To Report including Accounting and Reporting and is an important service line within the Finance and Accounting (F&A) practice at Genpact. It gives to a significant part of Genpact’s growth and is a priority for the Company. We need strong subject matter specialists to improve our current R2 R capabilities and develop new capabilities relevant to our client requirements to drive growth and develop our Intellectual Property (IP). Help build a strong R2 R function that provides current and prospective clients with leading industry standard methodologies in R2 R, solutions to improve their Accounting and Reporting functions, crafting collateral/IP to continue as a leader among service providers, and actively drive winning new deals. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage F&A discussions with clients, leveraging deep expertise in RTR (Record to Report), PTP and OTC (Order to Cash) domains.
- Contribute to proposals, transformation projects, and solutions to drive improvements.
- Identify and implement margin enhancement opportunities across business units.
- Develop and implement best practices, frameworks, and benchmarks for F&A processes.
- Design and optimize end-to-end frameworks to enhance performance and cost efficiency.
- Create diagnostic and benchmarking tools to identify and address process gaps.
- Engage with senior executives (CEOs, CFOs, Global Controllers) to solve client issues and refine offerings.
- Provide strategic direction and coaching to the Practice team to achieve goals.
- Assist in implementing R2 R practices across various accounts.
- Ensure adherence to process compliance using tools such as CMP and FMEA.
- Oversee daily operational tasks, including invoicing, audit requests, and other accounts payable activities.
- Collaborate with global teams on vendor management, payments, T&E processing, audits, and special processes.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries from legal, audit, and business units.
- Drive P&L performance by optimizing monetary management, process efficiency, and digital solutions.
- Ensure service delivery meets customer expectations and defined SLAs (Service Level Agreements).
- Coordinate and review processes related to credit memos, refunds, client billings, Cash application and reconciliations, experience on Chargeback process will be an added advantage.
- Manage month-end closing activities and reporting.
- Direct and support team members in achieving departmental objectives.
- Share and implement best practices to improve billing, credit, and reconciliation processes.
- Utilize digital tools and assets to enhance financial and accounting functions.
- Oversee end-to-end client service delivery and P&L management.
- Develop and execute strategies to secure new deals and grow existing client relationships.
- Lead technology adoption and demonstrate strong executive presence.
- Build and nurture collaborative teams to achieve organizational and client goals. Qualifications we seek in you Minimum Qualifications / Skills
- CA / MBA (Finance) with RTR domain.
- Recent exposure or experience applying digital solutions to streamline accounting processes and related reporting.
- Experience of working with Consumer Product/Manufacturing/Pharmaceuticals/Automotive & Consulting Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Experience in setting up, re-engineering or designing a shared service for R2 R desired set up.
- Hands on experience in identifying and implementing tools and technologies for improving R2 R process effectiveness desired.
- Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment very collaboratively
