About Us:
HCL Software is a division of HCL Technologies (HCL) that operates its primary software business. At HCL Software we develop, market, sell and support over 20 product families in the areas of Customer Experience, Digital Solutions, Secure DevOps, Security Automation.
The Business IT group within HCL Software develops and maintains the IT systems, data and processes for running the HCL Software business and is embarking on an ambitious and exciting transformation agenda. At the heart of this is an architectural roadmap focused on establishing a modern, flexible, and data-centric architecture.
We are seeking a Solution Architect to design, describe and help guide the delivery of changes to processes and systems. Your job will be to identify the best technical solutions to business problems, coordinate impact analysis and technical sizing for new initiatives as well as create specifications according to which the solution is defined, phased, managed and delivered. This is an exciting opportunity to have a strong influence in a growing team and business working with the latest technologies.

Responsibilities
Work with business stakeholders, business analysts and enterprise architects to assess the current process and technology landscape
Design specific solutions that best fit the environment and requirements of various stakeholders addressing business, application, data and infrastructure considerations
Shape the future architectural roadmap for the business
Translate technical project details and communicate to management and non-technical stakeholders
Undertake technology assessment and selection
Participate in solution delivery governance and resulting architecture change management
Resolve technical problems as they arise
Research current and emerging platforms and technologies
Skills and Experience
Requirements
Proven experience in software or systems development and/or architecture design
Pro-active, problem solving attitude and ability to quickly learn and employ new technologies
Sound knowledge of a broad set of platform, implementation and integration technologies
Experience with patterns: Event-Driven Architecture, Event Sourcing, CQRS, Stream Processing
Strong analytical skills
Efficient communication skills.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to influence and negotiate
Beneficial
Experience with technologies: JSON, REST, HTTP, Apache Kafka, Kafka Connect, Elasticsearch, front-end JavaScript library like React/Angular, CSS
Amazon Web Services Platform & Services: MSK, Lambda, ECS, CloudFront, API Gateway, S3
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or similar
Experience working in an Agile software delivery environment such as Scrum
Experience/knowledge of the commercial software development business
Experience working within an enterprise architecture framework (e.g. TOGAF, Zachman)
Experience with modelling techniques/frameworks (e.g. ArchiMate, UML)
Enterprise Architecture Certification
Experience working in an Agile software delivery environment (e.g. Scrum, SAFe)
