Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable backend systems for Vance’s fintech products.
  • Write clean, efficient, and secure code with high performance.
  • Develop resilient, fault-tolerant systems to handle millions of transactions.
  • Collaborate with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams for seamless delivery.
  • Implement robust APIs, distributed systems, and database optimizations.
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and improve system reliability.
  • Align engineering efforts with business priorities for fast execution.
  • Own backend architecture to ensure modularity, scalability, and extensibility.

Requirements

  • 4–10 years of backend development experience (startup/fintech preferred).
  • Strong skills in designing scalable, high-performing backend systems.
  • Proven ability to write efficient, production-ready code.
  • Comfortable balancing technical choices with business needs.
  • Hands-on builder who thrives in early-stage, high-ownership environments.
  • Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, Python, or Go (language-agnostic).
  • Strong experience with RESTful APIs and microservices.
