About the role:
We are looking for an experienced founding ML engineer. You will lead the development and implementation of cutting-edge autonomous AI agents and custom machine learning models for data intelligence, financial modeling, and workflow automation. You'll define the ML workflows from scratch and define the architecture with the larger team. You'll report to the co-founder/CTO and will closely collaborate with other full-stack developers.
Responsibilities
Build and deploy in-house AI services (Gen AI and traditional ML) using custom and open-source models – agents, predictive analytical models, offline scrapers, etc.
Train, evaluate, and deploy NLP and NER models in production environments. Your expertise in interpreting test results and performance metrics will be essential for continuous improvement.
Build and maintain durable, scalable infrastructure through MLOps, ensuring reliability of the system and its output.
Design and implement novel techniques, tools, and architectures that improve performance, latency, throughput, and efficiency across a multitude of AI models (Open AI, Mistral, Llama, Anthropic, etc).
Work alongside the founders to develop automated data integration technology, shape product direction, have direct relationships with customers, and help build out our team.
Qualifications
Must have 5+ years of machine learning engineering experience
Prior experience building statistical or financial models using classification or other techniques
Experience with Machine Learning software tools and libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, Tensor Flow, Keras, Py Torch, etc.)
Knowledge of generative AI systems (LLMs, model training/fine-tuning, agent frameworks, evaluation frameworks, vector & graph DBs, RAG, memory systems, etc)
Proficiency in Python as a software engineer
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced startup environment
Feel comfortable sharing feedback early and often, as well as receiving feedback
Fluent in written and spoken English
Bonus points
Has worked at high-growth startups
Proven track record of building successful AI products
Contributions to top open-source projects
Familiarity with one or more of the following technologies in our application stack: Typescript, Node, React, Nest.js, Postgre SQL, AWS
Additional details
This is a remote position in India, but you are expected to work certain hours of the day in US time zones
Full-time commitment is required
