Role Description
This is a full-time remote position for a Project Manager - BIM at ODE Consultants. The role involves overseeing expediting, project management, inspection, and logistics management tasks on a day-to-day basis to ensure the successful execution of projects within the built environment.
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Project Manager with expertise in managing construction projects incorporating Building Information Modeling (BIM) . The ideal candidate will lead projects from initiation to completion, ensuring the successful integration of BIM processes to deliver high-quality results on time, within scope, and budget. This role requires strong leadership, excellent stakeholder management, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a collaborative construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
BIM-Driven Project Management
· Define project scope, goals, and deliverables, incorporating BIM methodologies.
· Develop and manage project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets, with a focus on BIM integration.
· Oversee the implementation of BIM workflows, ensuring alignment with project requirements and standards.
· Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate BIM models into the project lifecycle.
Construction Planning and Execution
· Coordinate with design, engineering, and construction teams to align BIM strategies with project objectives.
· Ensure all phases of construction comply with BIM standards and contribute to streamlined project delivery.
· Monitor project progress and performance metrics, addressing variances promptly.
Team Leadership
· Lead, motivate, and manage diverse project teams, including BIM coordinators and modelers.
· Assign tasks, set deadlines, and foster an environment of collaboration and accountability.
· Conduct regular team meetings to review progress and address challenges.
Stakeholder Engagement
· Serve as the primary liaison for clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
· Present BIM models and project updates to stakeholders, addressing queries and feedback effectively.
· Cultivate strong relationships to ensure alignment and satisfaction throughout the project.
Risk and Quality Management
· Identify risks specific to BIM implementation and construction processes, and develop mitigation strategies.
· Conduct quality checks on BIM models and project deliverables to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Budget and Resource Management
· Track and manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
· Optimize resource allocation, balancing workloads to meet project demands.
Reporting and Documentation
· Maintain detailed project documentation, including BIM models, schedules, and reports.
· Generate regular progress updates and performance reviews for stakeholders and management.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management , or a related field.
· 6+ years of project management experience , preferably in construction projects involving BIM.
· Proficient in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD) and project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
· Certifications such as PMP , PRINCE2 , or equivalent are a plus.
Skills and Competencies
· Strong understanding of BIM standards and processes in construction.
· Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to manage diverse teams.
· Proficient in problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
· Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders and present BIM models effectively.
· Ability to handle multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
