Preferred Location - Remote/Bangalore
Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Application
Testing and Kubernetes Administrator. This role involves a combination of application testing for mobile and desktop clients, managing Kubernetes pods, coordinating with developers on branching strategies, and configuring load balancing and security measures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in system administration, particularly with RedHat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, and CentOS
Key Responsibilities:
● Application Testing:
○ Conduct comprehensive testing for mobile and desktop clients, including IMAP, Webmail, and API communication.
○ Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure the quality and functionality of applications.
○ Perform both manual and automated testing to identify defects and ensure the application meets the required standards.
● Defect Management:
○ Identify, document, and track defects using a defect tracking system.
○ Work closely with developers to reproduce, diagnose, and resolve defects.
○ Verify defect fixes and ensure they do not introduce new issues.
● Kubernetes Management:
○ Manage Kubernetes pods for deployment, services, scaling, and management of Docker containers.
○ Monitor and maintain the health of Kubernetes clusters and ensure high availability and performance.
○ Implement and manage Kubernetes-based CI/CD pipelines.
● Developer Coordination:
○ Coordinate and assist developers with establishing and applying appropriate branching strategies.
○ Ensure smooth integration of code changes and maintain code quality through effective branching and merging practices.
● Load Balancing and Security:
○ Configure load balancing and autoscaling to ensure optimal performance and reliability of applications.
○ Implement and configure Web Application Firewalls (WAF) to secure the load balancer and protect against threats
Skills and Qualifications:
● System Administration:
○ Proficient in RedHat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu, and CentOS.
○ Strong understanding of Linux system administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
● Technical Skills:
○ Experience with application testing tools and methodologies.
○ Familiarity with defect tracking systems and processes.
○ Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker container management.
○ Knowledge of load balancing, autoscaling, and WAF configuration.
● Soft Skills:
○ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
○ Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
○ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines.
2. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud will be added advantage.
3. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks
Education and Experience Preferred:
● Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
● 3+ years of experience in application testing, system administration, and Kubernetes management.
