We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Design and Technology Lab Instructor to join our school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact by leading a cutting-edge lab, inspiring young minds, and fostering creativity, innovation, and practical skills development.
About the Role:
As a Design and Technology Lab Instructor, you will be responsible for:
Curriculum Development: Designing creative lesson plans and hands-on activities tailored to the needs of K-12 students in areas such as robotics, 3-D printing, laser cutting, woodworking, and visual arts.
Instructional Leadership: Leading engaging and interactive lessons that help students develop technical skills and explore their creativity using advanced tools and equipment.
Lab Management: Overseeing the use of lab resources, ensuring safety protocols, and managing the upkeep of equipment and materials.
Mentorship: Providing individualized support and guidance to students, encouraging them to solve problems, think critically, and collaborate on projects.
Assessment: Evaluating student progress through practical exercises, projects, and other hands-on assessments.
Skills Required:
Programming Languages: C, C++, Python, Java, MATLAB.
Microcontrollers and Embedded Systems: Arduino, Raspberry Pi, PIC Microcontrollers
Robotics and Computer Vision: ROS (Robot Operating System), Open CV
Machine Learning and AI: Tensor Flow, Py Torch
Other Essential Skills: Data structures and algorithms, Digital signal processing, Control systems

Creative Mindset:

Experience with a wide range of tools and technologies (robotics, 3-D/Laser printing, mechatronics, woodworking, and more).
Teaching Experience:
Prior experience in a school setting or technical training environment is a plus.
Strong Communication:
Ability to effectively communicate with students of all ages and skill levels.
Enthusiasm and Energy:
A love for hands-on learning and working in a collaborative, creative environment.
