About the Role : We are seeking a highly skilled CAD engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and development of our next-generation humanoid robots. As a CAD engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, modeling, and prototyping of components and systems for humanoid robots. You will work closely with mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, AI developers, and industrial designers to create precise and innovative solutions that meet technical and aesthetic requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed 3D CAD models of robotic components, subsystems, and assemblies using industry-standard CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Fusion 360)
  • Ensure designs meet functional, structural, and aesthetic requirements.
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Collaborate with prototyping teams to fabricate and assemble prototypes.
  • Support testing and troubleshooting of prototypes to refine designs.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, to ensure seamless integration of components and systems.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Optimize designs for weight, strength, manufacturability, and cost effectiveness.
  • Research and implement innovative materials, techniques, and technologies in robot design.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of designs, revisions, and project progress.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety, quality, and industry standards.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in CAD design, preferably in robotics, automotive, aerospace, or related industries.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, Autodesk Fusion 360).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
  • Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques (e.g., 3D printing, CNC machining).
  • Familiarity with electrical and software integration in mechatronic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, and strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA) and simulation tools is a plus
  • Knowledge of kinematics, dynamics, and human-machine interaction is a plus.
