Roles and Responsibilities:Advise management/DPDP office on data management and governance, including transfers, retention and destructionImplementation Data Protection Policy and FrameworkGovernance of data collection and processing to ensure policy complianceInform data controllers, processors and principals of their obligations and rights in accordance with the lawCreate and deliver data protection trainings to employeesMaintain regulatory oversight for compliance to data privacy lawsConduct Data Privacy Impact Assessment and auditsProvide support to embed 'Privacy by Design' in systems and processesAct as primary contact for data principals and data regulators for all matters related to data privacy and protectionCollaborate with ISG, IT, legal, compliance, and other relevant teams while working on data breach to ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., DPDPA, GDPR, CCPA).Support Risk team on Data Privacy Policies, Framework and ProceduresStay current with emerging threats, trends, and technologies in data protection and DLP, providing strategic recommendations as requiredEssential Attributes:Minimum GPA of 4 or 70 % or a Law graduate from top law schools in IndiaIn depth understanding of data protection legislations and awareness of changing laws.Preference given to privacy experts who have worked on existing privacy laws like GDPR/CCPA/PDPA and HIPAA, etcAbility to identify and handle sensitive information with utmost care and maturityStrong analytical skills and approach to data processingSound IT skills and understanding of firm's IT infrastructureStrong communication and influencing skillsAbility to deal with pressure situations and senior stakeholdersMethodical, structured and governance focused approachExcellent documentation as well as presentation skillsSuperior hands-on experience on MS PowerPointStrong work ethics and attention to detailDesirable Skills:DSCI DPO/CPLA certification or similar certificationUnderstanding databases and how data is storedIndustry/Indian ministry connections w.r.t. privacy laws
