- Proactively manage and maintain network services
- Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans.
- Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments in accordance with compliance policies.
- Fault finding, analysis and of logging information for reporting of performance exceptions
- Proactively monitor network performance and perform capacity planning
- Ensure regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing are performed in accordance with organizational policies and practices.
- Review or propose remediation solutions to address vulnerabilities identified and ensure the solutions are implemented in accordance with organizational policies.
- Collaborate with other teams and team members to develop ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment
- Manage, coordinate, and implement software upgrades, patches, hot fixes on infrastructure managed.
- Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance as part of the rotational duty support team.
- Maintain proper documentation according to organizational policies and practices.
- Ensure error-free network configuration backups and perform restoration tests or disaster recovery exercises when required.
- Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
- Support audit and compliance activities.
- Generate periodic reports according to organization practices.
- Perform change and release management activities according to organization practices.
- Coordinate / Perform Level 1,2 support and service provisioning requests.
- Liaise with vendors, internal stakeholders and/or customers to identify troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Support other IT related activities when required.
The candidate must have at least 2-3 years of relevant working experience and should possess the following:
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
- Possess a valid CCNA certifications, or equivalent.
- Hands-on working experience in managing enterprise networks (LAN, WAN and Data Center networks) of sizeable deployment comprise one or more of the following products/technologies:
- LB Solutions: F5 experience will be added in advantage
- NGFW Cisco, Juniper SRX and Fortinet firewalls and firewall management
- NAC Solutions from Aruba (Clear Pass)
- WLC and WIFI Management
- Routing Protocol: BGP, OSPF
Experience in Network automation using Ansible, Python, NETCONF, RESTCONF will be an added advantage
- Strong domain knowledge of network design principles, tools and technologies,
- Good analytical and problem resolution skills.
- Network fine-tuning, problem troubleshooting, interpretation of statistics and traffic patterns.
