Position summary:


We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our finance team.


Key Roles & Responsibilities:


1. Daily Accounting Operations:

o Manage and maintain day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and bank reconciliations.

o Record financial transactions accurately, ensuring all journal entries are up-to-date and aligned with accounting standards.

o Maintain a well-organized general ledger, ensuring all accounts are balanced and correctly classified.

2. Reconciliation:

o Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate tracking of transactions.

o Conduct vendor and customer reconciliations to ensure accurate billing, collections, and payments.

3. Taxation and Compliance:

o Oversee GST and TDS filings, ensuring timely submission in accordance with government regulations.

o Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring the company remains compliant.

o Assist in audits and provide the necessary documentation for tax authorities and internal review.

4. Timely Payments and Invoicing:

o Generate accurate tax invoices and track due payments.

o Follow up on pending payments from customers to ensure timely collections and maintain healthy cash flow.

5. Income and Expenditure Management:

o Track and manage income and expenditure accounts to maintain an accurate financial overview of the company’s operations.

o Provide reports on income and expenses as needed by management for decision-making purposes.

6. Financial Reporting:

o Prepare periodic financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for management review.

o Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.


Required Skills:


1. Accounting Knowledge:

o Strong understanding of general accounting principles and procedures.

o Experience with financial transactions, journal entries, and ledger maintenance.

2. Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in MS Office, with advanced skills in Excel for reporting, data analysis, and financial tracking.

o Experience with accounting software, especially NetSuite and Oracle Online, will be a strong advantage.

3. Communication Skills:

o Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with team members, clients, and vendors.

4. Attention to Detail:

o High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial record-keeping and reporting.

5. Problem-Solving:

o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify discrepancies and resolve financial issues effectively.


Qualifications:


• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• 2-4 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial management.

• Knowledge of Indian taxation laws, especially GST and TDS compliance.

• Experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Experience:

• Hands-on experience working with NetSuite and Oracle Online platforms.
