Job Description for PGT History


Teach History at the Senior Secondary level (Grade 11 & 12), adhering to CBSE guidelines and integrating principles of National Education Policy (NEP)


Key Responsibilities:


Teaching:


1. Deliver lectures, discussions, and activities in History.

2. Develop and implement lesson plans, notes, and study materials, aligned with NEP's competency-based progression.

3. Use multimedia and digital tools to enhance teaching.


Student Assessment:

1. Conduct periodic assessments, quizzes, and exams.

2. Evaluate student performance, and provide feedback, and guidance.


Curriculum Development:

1. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and update the curriculum, integrating NEP's recommendations.

2. Incorporate experiential learning, project-based learning, and interdisciplinary connections.


Student Guidance:

1. Provide individualized support and counseling.

2. Encourage critical thinking, historical analysis, effective communication, etc.


Candidates should have a postgraduate degree in History from a recognized University and a B.Ed. degree. Work experience at least of two years as a PGT in CBSE Schools of repute and candidates passionate about Teaching is preferred.
