Job Title: Azure Dev Sec Ops Engineer
Job Location: Hyderabad / Mohali
Experience: 8+ years
Summary of position:
We seek a skilled Dev Sec Ops Engineer focusing on security and Dev Ops to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing and improving the security aspect of our products, mainly working with Microsoft Azure but may be required to assist with AWS. The position holder will play a key role in the continuous delivery and lifecycle management of software applications, whilst automating processes, optimizing systems, and ensuring reliability and security of production environments. This role will be part of the Hungry Jacks development team and will have the opportunity to work in a green field environment and set the foundations for the future.
Duties and responsibilities
Implementing various testing, development, automation tools, and IT infrastructures
Planning the team structure, activities, and involvement in various project management activities
Setting up tools and required infrastructures
Selecting and deploying the appropriate CI/CD tools and performing any configuration management
Defining and establishing test, development, release, update, and support processes for the organization’s Dev Ops operations
Work towards continuous improvement while building continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipelines
Possess the technical skills necessary to review, verify, and validate software codes developed in the project
Implementing and maintaining monitoring stacks
Maintaining and improving the organization’s cloud infrastructure
Conducting system troubleshooting activities and fixing any found code bugs
Monitoring the development processes during the whole lifecycle to ensure their adherence and creating or updating new processes and also minimize any waste
Promoting and building automated processes wherever feasible
Enhance the IT infrastructure’s security protocols by identifying and deploying needed cybersecurity measures by continuously conducting vulnerability assessment and risk management procedures
Performing incidence management and root cause analysis
Maintaining consistent coordination and communication within the team as well as with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams
Mentoring and guiding the IT team members, addressing any concerns and issues
Understanding solution requirements, monitoring, and measuring customer experience and their Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Ability to work in an Agile environment
Required Skills:
Mandatory: Terraform, Github, Ia C, Azure API Management, Cosmos DB, Azure Container Apps
Git, Git Hub, Git Hub actions, Git Hub workflows, Azure Dev Ops
Experience in implementing security using SAST and DAST tooling
Extensive experience in automate Azure resource provisioning
Create and maintain Ia C scripts
Experience in YAML, Bicep, ARM template, Terraform, Ia C, CI/CD
API Ops for Azure API Management
Swagger/Open API
Experience in setting up containerization, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure App Service, Azure Container Apps, Azure Functions, NSG, VNets, Subnets, WAF etc.
Configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef
Monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor, App Insights, New Relic
Solid understanding of SQL Server, Cosmos DB, Blob and Table storage
Automation of backup and restore of SQL and Cosmos DBs
Experience of blue/green deployments
Hands on experience with scripting such as Power Shell, Python etc.
Experience with identity management such as Entra ID, Thales or Okta
A problem-solving mindset
A spirit of teamwork and cooperation
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Good communication skills are necessary for dealing with stakeholders
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with container security and tools for securing containers and orchestrators (e.g., AKS , Docker ).
Experience with automated compliance checks and auditing in cloud environments.
Exposure to microservices architecture and securing serverless environments.
