Founded in 2010, Ekya Schools is a chain of progressive K-12 schools in Bangalore, India offering Kindergarten & Montessori and Grades 1-12 affiliated to CBSE, ICSE and Cambridge IGCSE. With our in-house curriculum, students experience a rich learning journey designed to challenge, engage and excite. Drawing on the legacy of the CMR Group of Institutions and the innovative, immersive methods of school systems around the world, the Ekya Schools were instituted with one aim – to teach children not just what to learn, but how to learn. Demonstrating knowledge of content and pedagogy in developing effective lesson plan. Identifying clear teaching objectives and specifying how they will be transacted in class Instruction. Utilizing a wide variety of teaching techniques and tools to address different learner. Creating and distributing educational supports, including reading material, activities, sharing lessons in a comprehensive manner, using visual/audio accompaniments to facilitate interactive learning. Collaborating with the School Counselor, Coordinators, and Head of School in providing students with academic, non-academic and social support, as needed. Ensuring students acquire and consolidate knowledge, skills, and understanding appropriate to the unit taught. Encouraging and monitoring the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies. Bachelor's Degree- ~ Preferably in French Language, Literature, or related fields (e.g., in French). Diploma in French Language (DELF/DALF by Alliance Française or equivalent). B2 level or higher is usually expected for school teaching. Advanced Diploma in French (from a recognized university) is also acceptable.
