Job Title: Cloud App Migration- Tanzu and Open Shift (with Python Or Java) Years of Experience: 10+ Years Work Location: Bangalore *** Early Joiners (Less than 45 days) only apply *** Job Description Job Summary: We are seeking a Cloud Application Migration Specialist with expertise in Java applications and hands-on experience in migrating from Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Tanzu Application Service (TAS), or Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition (TKGI) to Red Hat Open Shift (OCP). The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Java runtimes and applications, experience with containerization, and strong skills in Kubernetes and Open Shift deployments. Key Responsibilities: • Lead the migration of Java applications from PCF/TAS/TKGI environments to Open Shift Container Platform using tools such as Red Hat MTA and Konveyor Move2 Kube • Analyze, design, and implement solutions for migrating applications, taking into account application dependencies, performance requirements, and security standards. • Help Optimize and refactor Java applications for containerized environments to improve scalability, performance, and reliability on Open Shift. • Develop and utilize automation scripts and tools to streamline migration processes, enhance efficiency, and ensure consistency. • Collaborate closely with Dev Ops, Platform, and Application Development teams to ensure seamless integration, deployment, and operational readiness of migrated applications. • Conduct assessments, gather requirements, and provide guidance on best practices and industry standards for Java applications on Open Shift. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application dependencies, runtime errors, networking, and configuration management. • Create and deliver technical documentation, migration plans, and post-migration support materials. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience. • 5+ years of experience in Java application development, architecture, and deployment in cloud or containerized environments. • Hands-on experience with PCF/TAS/TKGI and Open Shift Container Platform, with a proven track record of successful migrations. • Proficiency in containerization technologies, such as Docker, and orchestration tools, especially Kubernetes. • Knowledge of Helm for application packaging • Deep understanding of Java runtime environments, application servers (e.g., Web Sphere Liberty, Apache Tomcat), and J2 EE architectures. • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and related tools (e.g., Jenkins, Tekton, Harness). • Strong experience in troubleshooting, profiling, and performance tuning of Java applications in a Kubernetes environment. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical solutions to stakeholders of varying technical backgrounds. Preferred Certifications: • Certification in Open Shift Administration, Kubernetes Administration, or Cloud Architecture.
