Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical components and systems in Solid Works for road-rail vehicles.
Lead projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet design specifications.
Perform advanced load/stress and dynamic analyses to ensure designs meet safety and performance standards.
Innovate and implement design improvements for better efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Prepare and review technical documentation, including design drawings and specifications.
Assist the Lead Design Engineer in overseeing the design team’s operations.
Contribute to the development of design strategies and ensure their implementation.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure designs meet cross-functional requirements.
Oversee the progress of projects from concept to production, ensuring they adhere to timelines and budgets.
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance and standards.
Conduct complex design and analysis tasks to ensure vehicle performance meets standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Must have extensive knowledge of SOLIDWORKS.
Significant 4+ years of experience in heavy machinery industry preferably EOT, Road vehicle, Automobiles.
Proficient in mechanisms, drive systems, powertrains, vehicle design, load/stress analysis, and dynamic analysis and other design calculations.
Proficient in CAD software and analysis tools for load/stress and dynamic analysis.
Extensive experience in mechanical design, preferably in road-rail vehicle manufacturing.
Experience with design software such as Solidworks, Auto CAD and PDM
Extensive knowledge in Machining, GD&T, Hydraulic & Pneumatics, and proper documentation in standards.
Must have good knowledge in workshop and field trial.
Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
