Primary Skills:
Azure APIM, API Design and Development, Full Stack (Java) Development, Strong Custom APIs Design and Build, Azure Cloud Knowledge
Details:
Strong understanding and experience with Azure APIM platform, including its architecture, features, and components like API proxies, policies, and routing.
· Expertise in configuring and customizing API gateways to manage and monitor APIs.
Ability to implement and manage API versioning, security policies, request-response transformations, caching, and throttling.
· API Design and Development:
Experience in designing, developing, and deploying RESTful APIs (using standards like OpenAPI, Swagger, RAML).
· Ability to write and implement API specifications and definitions for both public and internal APIs.
· Knowledge of API security, including OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, and basic authentication.
· Programming and Scripting:
Proficient in languages like C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, or Node.js for building APIs.
· Strong skills in writing custom APIs to integrate APIs and backend services.
· Experience with Azure SDKs and API client libraries for integrating with the APIM platform.
API Security:
· In-depth understanding of securing APIs using various strategies such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, IP filtering, rate limiting, and CORS.
· Implementing policies for authentication, authorization, and encryption at the API level.
Integration with Azure Services:
· Knowledge of integrating APIs with other Azure services such as Azure Service Bus.
· Knowledge to develop and implement queues and events in Azure Service Bus.
Monitoring and Analytics:
· Experience with Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and logging techniques to track API performance and troubleshoot issues.
· Proficiency in designing dashboards and alerts in Azure for real-time monitoring and visibility into API consumption.
API Architecture:
· Strong understanding of API gateway design, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
· Ability to architect scalable, high-performance, and highly available API solutions.
· Familiar with API lifecycle management, from design and development to deployment, monitoring, and versioning.
Cloud Architecture:
· Deep knowledge of Azure Application, services, and security models to design solutions leveraging APIM.
· Ability to create, deploy, and manage microservices architectures within Azure, including leveraging Kubernetes and Azure App Services.
Secondary Skills:
Integration with Third-party Services:
· Experience in integrating APIs with third-party services like Salesforce, VCFS, DMS etc.
