About the Role
Head of Maintenance
Responsibilities
- Maintenance Leadership: Oversee all maintenance operations across our advanced manufacturing facilities to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive maintenance strategy that aligns with the company's operational goals and minimizes downtime.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implement and manage a robust preventative maintenance program to ensure the longevity and efficiency of machinery, including pumps, motors, and associated equipment.
- Team Management: Lead, train, and mentor the maintenance team, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to safety protocols, legal standards, and company policies.
- Problem-Solving: Directly address mechanical and electrical challenges, providing effective and timely solutions to maintain uninterrupted production.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the maintenance budget effectively, ensuring cost-efficient operations without compromising on quality.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with suppliers for spare parts, services, and technological upgrades, maintaining strong vendor relationships.
- Technology Integration: Recommend and integrate advanced maintenance technologies and practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred but not mandatory.
Professional Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment, with a preference for expertise in pumps, motors, and agricultural equipment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale maintenance teams and operations.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with cutting-edge diagnostic tools and maintenance methodologies.
- Experience in automation and modern manufacturing technologies is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Exceptional leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a strategic and detail-oriented mindset.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
