Apeejay Stya University is looking for an Assistant Professor-Mathematics (Sohna, Gurgaon) The Apeejay Stya University is a seat of global learning that offers rich opportunities for innovative teaching-learning, creativity and research across disciplines. It aims to bring about transformation of the society through value-based education, man-making and nation-building by blending together the dual identities of a technology and research-based university with a liberal arts institution. Teach Mathematics for Post graduate, Undergraduate degree and diploma courses as per the University curriculum, evaluation and other academic / administrative activities. Strong knowledge of Mathematics core courses in domains related to Calculus, Vector Analysis ,Logic and Set Theory Probability and Statistics Discrete Mathematics Linear Algebra/Matrices, Coordinate Geometry Teaching and covering the curriculum as designed and outlined by the university by adhering to the rules and regulations Creating, developing and implementing innovative teaching pedagogy for better and easy understanding to take industry related problems as practical teaching. Monitoring and observing the students attendance, progress and assessments Keeping in touch with current trends by reading the latest articles published in different magazines or other relevant literature and update his academic delivery accordingly and continuous upgradation by attending FDPs. Should also continue with the research work in the field. Responsible for Academic & administrative duties as per the task assigned by the Dean or University authorities Exposure to tools and technologies used for Matrix manipulation, plotting of functions and data, 2D and 3D visualization, Statistics such as MATLAB, GNU Octave, Scilab # Strong programming skills in two or more programming languages - C, Python, R Education Qualifications Required: Sc (Mathematics) with 60% Marks + NET Qualified and Ph.Experience : 3 to 5 years of teaching and research experience in a University or higher education institution including colleges under a recognized University
