About the Position
We are seeking a Electronics and IoT Engineer to enhance our current solution, develop updates based on user feedback, and work on the miniaturization of our systems. You will ensure that our devices operate reliably, are scalable, and cost-effective for larger deployments. Additionally, you will play a key role in optimizing the deployment of our systems, facilitating installation through proper preparation and the implementation of necessary tools. In this role, you will collaborate closely with team members working on other IoT aspects and the backend to ensure seamless integration and performance.
Responsibilities
- Improve the existing IoT solution by addressing performance feedback and optimizing system functionality.
- Work on the next updates and enhancements based on real-world usage data and feedback.
- Lead the miniaturization of electronic systems to reduce size while maintaining performance.
- Ensure system scalability for larger deployments while maintaining efficiency and reliability.
- Implement strategies to reduce production costs without compromising quality.
- Optimize the deployment process by organizing pre-installation efforts and putting necessary tools in place to facilitate system installation.
- Collaborate with team members working on IoT and backend development to ensure smooth system integration.
- Ensure 24/7 operational functionality for devices deployed in the field.
About You
The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, with a deep understanding of IoT systems. You are driven to continuously improve and scale real-world solutions and are excited about making a tangible impact on urban mobility.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience in electronics, embedded systems, or a related field.
- Strong experience in embedded systems design and PCB design.
- Proven ability to optimize battery management and reduce power consumption.
- Expertise in IoT protocols such as MQTT and REST.
- Experience in miniaturizing systems while maintaining their functionality.
- Familiarity with cost reduction strategies in production.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with industrial design and 3D modeling is a plus.
- Knowledge of thermal and mechanical simulation tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL, and SIMULIA is a plus.
