Contract Duration: Long Term

Work Hours: 3:30 AM to 1:00 PM EST

Work Schedule : 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)

Location : 100% Remote

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA with strong expertise in managing Oracle databases on AWS (EC2/RDS). The role involves deploying, configuring, monitoring, and tuning databases while ensuring high availability, scalability, and security in mission-critical environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Oracle databases on AWS (EC2/RDS) with proactive monitoring via Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
  • Perform performance tuning, SQL/PLSQL optimization, backup/recovery (RMAN), and patching.
  • Implement high availability and disaster recovery (Oracle Data Guard, Multi-AZ RDS).
  • Manage database security, access control, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for CI/CD integration and migrations.

Must Haves:

  • 5+ years of Oracle DBA experience in production environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, IAM, CloudWatch).
  • Deep expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
  • Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, performance tuning, and diagnostics.
  • Experience with RMAN, backup/recovery, and patching.

Nice to Have:

  • PostgreSQL or SQL Server experience on AWS.
  • Database migration (Oracle → PostgreSQL) with AWS DMS/Ora2Pg.
  • AWS certifications (Database Specialty / Solutions Architect).
