Our product portfolio comprises over 250 SKUs across more than 70 product families. We have an established marketing, sales, and distribution platform in the US through our subsidiaries AdvaGen Pharma that markets non-branded prescription products and Validus Pharmaceuticals that markets branded prescription products and promotes them to healthcare practitioners in the US.
We have two US FDA inspected R&D facilities – one each in India and Canada, and two manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra, India with multiple accreditations from multiple regulatory agencies such as US FDA, Food and Drugs Administration, Maharashtra (WHO-GMP accreditation) and Health Canada. Our facilities are equipped with a range of drug development and manufacturing capabilities across dosage forms.

Position Title: Senior Manager - Legal Counsel
Type: Full time

Position Overview
The Legal Counsel will serve as a strategic partner to the organization, overseeing all legal and regulatory aspects of our pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
As a key advisor to senior management, the Legal Counsel will provide proactive legal solutions, foster ethical business practices, and play an integral role in shaping strategies that align with both corporate objectives and global compliance standards. This position demands a forward-thinking legal professional who can adeptly balance strategic vision with operational precision in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including:
- Supply and distribution agreements.
- Licensing and technology transfer contracts.
- Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements (NDAs).
- Service and vendor contracts.
- Ensure all contracts are aligned with business goals while mitigating legal risks.
Risk Mitigation:
- Conduct risk assessments for business operations and propose practical solutions to minimize exposure.
- Monitor emerging legal trends and regulatory changes in the pharmaceutical industry to ensure proactive adaptation.
Litigation and Dispute Management:
- Represent the organization in legal proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations as necessary.
- Manage relationships with external counsel to ensure effective and cost-efficient representation in complex litigation.
- Provide pre-litigation advice to minimize disputes and resolve conflicts amicably where possible.
Legal Advisory and Support:
- Offer expert legal advice on strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other business development activities.
- Support internal teams—including manufacturing, quality, and HR—on employment law, safety standards, and other operational matters.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Act as a key advisor to the executive team and collaborate with cross-functional departments to align legal strategies with business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, legal advisors, and industry associations.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law (LL.B./LL.M.) from a recognized institution – Mandatory.
- 5-10 years of relevant legal experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a reputed law firm
- Exposure to Pharmaceutical industry and international business is preferable
